Cinnamon Toast Records was a record label, inspired by the American label Simple Machines, from Halifax, Nova Scotia and run by Walter Forsyth, Lee Ann Gillan, Shawn Duggan, Colin MacKenzie, Robert Jeans and Miroslav Wiesner. They released a number of limited release 7" singles, each in a different colour. Also released was a compilation CD and LP: Trim Crusts if Desired. They went on to release a Rebecca West CD and LP as well as a number of full length Plumtree CDs. Their first release was Jale's first recording — a red 7" single called "Aunt Betty".
