Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata

Early life and education

Chukwuemeka was born in Lagos State southwestern Nigeria to Engr. Godfrey Agbata and Mrs. Patricia Agbata. He had his primary education at Umbrella Nursery and Primary School and secondary education at Hopebay College but obtained the West Africa School Certificate from Badagry Grammar school. He then proceeded to Ekiti State University where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Sociology. He later received the Inbound Marketing Certificate before he earned a diploma certificate in digital marketing from Oxford College of Marketing, UK.

Blogging

Chukwuemeka is a Nigerian leading blogger and a renowned ICT expert who had also built hundreds of website. He began his professional blogging career in 2009, the same year CFA was established. Today, CFA has grown to become one of Nigeria's leading IT training company. Chukwuemeka was formerly in the telecommunication industry before he resigned to established is own independent IT training company, CFA. While setting up the company, he met a friend who introduced him to Oil and Gas business that led to the lost of all he had gathered in the telecommunication industry. On December 6, 2014, CFA organized a workshop that exposed Nigerians to low-cost digital strategies. The theme of the workshop was “Projecting your brand and products by maximizing effective digital strategies for client patronage & retention”.

Column and radio

He is currently in charge of the ICT Clinic, a column on The Punch Newspaper. The ICT Clinic was established by The Punch in 2013 and Chukwuemeka has been in charge of it since inception. He has written hundreds of articles on various subject matters related to artificial intelligence, social media, digital marketing, security and general matters to help increase technology knowledge in Nigeria. After 14 months of being a columnist, Chukwuemeka, he started a radio show called the ICT Radio Show aired on 99.3 Nigeria Info FM from March 2014 to February 2015. In July 2015, the Tech on Wheels with CFA kicked off on the Love FM Network, "Love FM Abuja", "Love FM Porthacout", " Love FM Umuahia" on a weekly basis. Tech on Wheels with CFA is a 15 minutes programme that focus on technological advancement.

Keynote speeches

Chukwuemeka presented a paper on “Stepping Into Social Media: How and Why in Contemporary Nigeria?” at the 2014 Nigeria DigitalSENSE Forum held on June 5 and 6, 2014 at Welcome Center Hotels, International Airport Road, Lagos State. In attendance was Omobola Johnson, the former Minister of ICT. He was a keynote speaker at the Nigeria Internet Governance Forum (NIGF) held on July 20, 2015 at NAF Conference Center and Suites in Jahi District, Abuja. The forum aimed at discussing issues regarding Internet Governance Ecosystem potentials and how these can be harnessed for economic growth and sustenance in Nigeria. During the launching of the eChurch Project .0 at Lagos State, Chukwuemeka spoke on "internet envangelism". He said “as content remains king, ministers/pastors should place premium on content creation and consumption within and outside the church. In this dynamic and content driven world, ministers should use contents about the gospel of Christ to woo and lead the unsaved to Christ using social media platforms; this is called evangelism,”. In an exclusive interview with him on Channels TV in 2014, he stressed the need for stakeholders in the power sector to tap into potentials of ICT to create more efficiency in the sector.

Awards and honours

In 2015, he was honored by the Nigerian Top Executives in the IT and Software Industry with an Award of Excellence for outstanding contributions to ICT in Nigeria.
