Lindarw was trained at Beckmans in Stockholm. His stage debut in 1976 - as Zsa Zsa Shakespeer - was in Wild Side Story at the now legendary nightclub of Alexandra Charles, and he had his first major production at Hamburger Börs in 1980. Together with Lars Flinckman, Lindarw's co-star of many years from stage shows with their group After Dark, and using the group's name, he made it to third place in Swedish song pageant Melodifestivalen with the song La dolce vita.

Lindarw/After Dark wrote the Stockholm Gay Pride Anthem 2006 - "Kom Ut" ("Come Out") together with Stockholms Gaykör (Stockholms Gaychoir). "Kom Ut" ("Come Out") is the Stockholm Gay Pride official pride single for 2006.

In 2017 Lindarw performed the surprise finale number by imitating Queen Silvia of Sweden in the annual televised show put on at Öland for the birthday of Crown Princess Victoria, this time her 40th.

Outside Sweden he is known mainly for performances in California and Spain and clothes he has designed for international celebrities such as Diana Ross.
