Christ the King Church, Jog Falls was established in 1959. At first it located in a shed. Later by the Mangalore Diocese influence a church was built. Later it was under the Diocese of Shimoga. It is located in Jog Falls Sagara, Shimoga District Karnataka state India.

History

It has an history of 50 years, during the initial years the people who were called as Christian started the rosary prayer with a statue of mother Mary in a shed day by day the prayer started in house of the catholic and carrying the statue to the each home and praying. Later by the devotion of the people the manglore dioscise gave the order to build a church .

Festivities

It celebrated its golden jubilee in 2009. The church feast is celebrated on 2nd Tuesday of November and 11 fathers served for this parish.

Priest in the service of Church

The current parish priest is Rev. Fr. Stephen Albuqure. There are 300 families and total strength of 1000 people.
