Films

Bellande's first film was Battle of Souls, which she wrote and directed in 2008. The film would be shown at festivals including the New York Independent Film Festival, where it was nominated for best feature film. It was also voted the best international film at the International Festival of Independent Hollywood Films. The film was largely filmed in the Montreal suburb of Longueuil, and tells the story of a young Canadian soldier caught in a love triangle. Dialogue in the film is spoken in both English and French.

In 2012 she wrote and directed the film While the Village Sleeps, a horror film that was shown at both the Chicago Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival. The screenplay won 1st place Best International Screenplay at the Rhode Island International Film Festival in 2012, while the movie’s trailer was an Official Selection at the Hollywood Discovery Awards.

In 2014 she released the seventeen-minute short-film Will of Fortune. Filmed in New York City and inspired by the real-life murder trials of Guy Turcotte and Susan Wright, two people who had stabbed immediate family members to death, was a finalist for best screenplay at the Beverly Hills Film Festival, the World Series of Screenwriting and the Richmond International Film Festival, where the movie also screened as an Official Selection. Will of Fortune was first screened at the 67th Cannes Film Festival and was also presented at the 2014 Quebec Comic Con. She is the founder and owner of Blue Infinity Films.
