Chinsurah subdivision is a subdivision of the Hooghly district in the state of West Bengal, India. It consists of two municipalities (Hugli-Chuchura and Bansberia) and five community development blocs: Balagarh, Chinsurah–Mogra, Dhaniakhali, Pandua and Polba–Dadpur. The five blocks contain 68 gram panchayats and 11 census towns. The subdivision has its headquarters at Hugli-Chuchura.

Area
Apart from the Hugli-Chuchura municipality and Bansberia municipality, the subdivision contains 11 census towns and rural areas of 68 gram panchayats under five community development blocs: Balagarh, Chinsurah–Mogra, Dhaniakhali, Pandua and Polba–Dadpur. The 11 census towns are: Badhagachhi, Kodalia, Raghunathpur, Madhusudanpur, Amodghata, Shankhanagar, Chak Bansberia, Kulihanda, Simla, Boinchi, Pandua.
Balagarh block
Rural area under Balagarh block consists of 13 gram panchayats, viz. Baklia Dhobapara, Ektarpur, Somra–I, Charkrishnabati, Guptipara–I, Somra–II, Dumurdaha Nityanandapur–I, Guptipara–II, Sripur–Balagarh, Jirat, Dumurdaha Nityanandapur–II, Mohipalpur and Sija Kamalpur. Urban area under this block consists of one census town: Badhagachhi. Balagarh police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is in Patuligram.
Chinsurah–Mogra block
Rural area under Chinsurah–Mogra block consists of 10 gram panchayats, viz. Bandel, Debanandapur, Kodalia–II, Saptagram, Chandrahati–I, Digsui Hoyera, Mogra–I, Chandrahati–II, Kodalia–I and Mogra–II. Urban area under this block consists of nine census towns: Kodalia, Raghunathpur, Madhusudanpur, Amodghata, Shankhanagar, Chak Bansberia, Kulihanda, Simla. Chinsurah and Mogra police stations serve this block. Headquarters of this block is in Mogra.
Dhaniakhali block
Rural area under Dhaniakhali block consists of 18 gram panchayats, viz. Belmuri, Dashghara–II, Gudubari–I, Perambua Sahabazar, Bhandarhati–I, Dhanekhali–I, Gudubari–II, Bhandarhati–II, Dhanekhali–II, Gurap, Somaspur–I, Bhastara, Gopinathpur–I, Khajudaha Milki, Somaspur–II, Dashghara–I, Gopinathpur–II and Mandra. There is no urban area under this block. Dhaniakhali police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is in Dhaniakhali.
Pandua block
Rural area under Pandua block consists of 15 gram panchayats, viz. Jamna, lchhobadaspur, Rameswarpur–Gopalnagar, Beloon Dhamasin, Jamnagar Mondalai, Panchagara–Toregram, Berela-Konchmali-Boragori , Jayer Dwarbasini, Shikhira Chanpta, Haral Daspur, Kshirkundi–Namajgram–Niyasa,Simlagarh Vitasin, Itachuna Khanyan and Sarai–Tinna. Urban area under this block consist of two census towns: Pandua and Boinchi. Pandua police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is in Pandua.
Polba–Dadpur block
Rural area under Polba–Dadpur block consists of 12 gram panchayats, viz. Akhna, Dadpur, Mahanad, Rajhat, Amnan, Goswami Malipara, Makalpur, Satithan, Babnan, Harit, Polba and Sugandha. There is no urban area under this block. Polba and Dadpur police stations serve this block. Headquarters of this block is in Barunanpara.
