Charles Michael Porter (born 11 January 1936 in Brisbane, Queensland) is a former athlete from Australia, who mainly competed in the high jump. He was educated at the Anglican Church Grammar School.

He competed for Australia in the high jump at the 1956 Summer Olympics held in Melbourne, Australia, finishing second behind American Charles Dumas. He also collected silver medals in the 1958 Commonwealth Games and the 1962 Commonwealth Games

His son, Christian Porter, is a politician, who is the Liberal Party member for the federal electorate of Pearce and Minister for Social Services in the Turnbull Government. His father, Charles Porter, was a Queensland Liberal state MP between 1966 and 1980 and served in the ministry of Joh Bjelke-Petersen.
