About Chigateri

Famous poet Mudenur Sanganna hails from this village. He was well known for his janapada sahitya. It is connected by bus from Harapanahalli to Chigateri cross, from there you can reach the village by TATA ACE, three wheeler auto service for just 8. the village have 3 primary schools, one high school, one primary health centre which is run by govt. of karnataka, There will be Naradamuni jatra once in a year,which attracts thousands of people from central portion of karnataka.old temple of Naradamuni swamy is modernised ten years back. Another attraction near chigateri is wind mill fans along Jajikal hills which contributes some electric power to state.
