Chhaling (Nepali: छलिङ) is a village and Village Development Committee in Bhaktapur District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 8,129 with 1,817 houses in it.It is situated at about a distance of 20 kilometers from the capital city Kathmandu.

The name "Chhaling" is believed to be derived from two words- "Chhala" meaning-skin and "Gaun" meaning-village as it was believed to be a major production area of animal skin and leather materials during 18th century.

Most of the people are Brahmins and Chhetris also including a major number of population of "Sanyasi" meaning Saints and Newars. There are also few number of people from Mongolian descents living in the upper part of the hill.

In ancient times of kirat and lichhavi dynasty it was known by Gopal dranga.It was under king Prathav mall of Bishal nagar.

The village has been recently declared as Municipality by the government of Nepal under the name of Changunarayan.
