Famous temple
It has a very old and famous Mariamman temple present in this village and it believed that the wishes of people gets fulfilled by making prayers in the month of Panguni. People from nearby villages come to this village during this Panguni month for celebrating Pongal festival for the goddess Mariamman.

The best thing about this village is, you can see thousands of peafowls in the agricultural lands of this village. In evenings you can find them crossing the road and roaming around just like humans. People don't disturb them at all and they also don't disturb anyone. Many people (outsiders) comes to this village to see those Peafowls. You can even see this peafowls sitting at the top of Palm trees here

Black soil, Dry lands, Water resources(ponds and wells here and there)etc. are the things you could notice in this village apart from countable number of houses.
Palm trees
As it is 'Palai' land, you could see a number of Palm trees here. In the month of April, may, June and July we will get Nungu or Nunku(Nunku) from these trees. Also we will get a drink called Pathaneer from these trees which really tastes like a divine drink.
