Vocalist Jennifer Gill studied contemporary and classical music at university, citing jazz singer Roberta Flack, folk singer Eva Cassidy and pop singer Beyoncé amongst her influences. Guitarist and keyboardist Ian Gordon is a self-taught musician and songwriter, citing Peter Gabriel, rock band Muse and film composer Angelo Badalamenti amongst his influences.
On March 16, 2013, BBC Introducing in Manchester played one of the duo’s synthpop tracks, Out of my Dreams.
