Charlotte Pomerantz (July 24, 1930 – July 24, 2022) was an American children's writer and journalist. Her 1975 story The Princess and the Admiral won a Jane Addams Children's Book Awards. Pomerantz's story The Piggy In The Puddle was featured October 13, 1992 on Reading Rainbow, where it was retold using a claymation process with artists Becky and Cody. Other featured books on the show included This House Is Made of Mud, The Hippopotamus Song: A Muddy Love Story, Oink! with a similar theme.

Contents

Pomerantz's book The Half-Birthday Party is about half-birthdays. Her One Duck, Another Duck was recommended as "a still unbeaten classic" for counting books, as it "beautifully illustrates additionality and seriation with its rhythmic additions to ducks on a pond."

She is the daughter of Abraham Pomerantz.
