Early life

Charlotte Glasson Charlotte Glasson charlotteglasso Twitter

Charlotte started playing violin at the age of 5, got a guitar when she was 7 and taught herself how to play Beatle tunes, and then got a saxophone for Christmas when she was 12. Charlotte went on to study Music at Kingston University, after which she progressed into a career as a session musician, band leader and composer/arranger.

Career

Equally at home playing jazz, classical music, blues, soul, funk, Latin, country and everything in between she’s kept busy on the music scene. She has also composed music for an Art Installation at The Ashmoleon museum in Oxford with Chinese Artist Qu Leilei, and music for theatre performances by George Dillon. Currently, Charlotte leads her own group band, the Charlotte Glasson Band, who perform her own original compositions along with those of the band. She is a member of Three Friends , a progressive rock band who perform the music of Gentle Giant, and has been a regular of the cast for The Lost and Found Orchestra. In this year's Brighton Fringe festival, Charlotte joined the band of Camille O'Sullivan.
