Charles Maingon is a Canadian judoka and retired university professor who won gold in the -70 kg category of the 1969 Canadian National Judo Championships. He and Vincent Grifo were the first Canadian Champions from Quebec. Maingon was Professor of French Literature at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario. Several of his publications deal with the work of French novelist Joris-Karl Huysmans.
