Charaxes pleione, the square-winged red charaxes, is a butterfly in the Nymphalidae family. It is found in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, the Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic, Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania. The habitat consists of forests and woodland savanna.

Contents

The larvae feed on Acacia pennata and Acacia brevispica.
