LV82 TV Channel 8 San Juan is the first terrestrial television channel privacy of Argentina's San Juan province. The station was founded by local entrepreneurs and formally began broadcasting in 1964 with the same name. It quickly gained popularity among viewers, who had only one option so far.

Currently, relayed programming of El Trece of Buenos Aires, América TV and Channel 7 Mendoza; also features local programming. The studios are located in the center of the city of San Juan and the main transmitter site is in the same building.

The Signal

The signal covers the entire Gran San Juan, further comprising the city of San Juan and departments Rawson, Rivadavia, Chimbas and Santa Lucia. Also coming to the departments of the south as Pocito and Sarmiento, those of the north as Albardón, Angaco and Ullum, the East Side Caucete, San Martin, 25 De Mayo and 9 De Julio.

    In 2010 changed its logo for historic silver-bordered orange circle with an 8 in the middle (similar to using Channel 6 San Rafael and former Channel 7 Mendoza), initiating its transmission via streaming.

    The December 21, 2012 changed its logo in 2010 by the new larger logo (style as logo of Canal 7 Mendoza) on commercial channel with Santa Claus hat meaning that the logo makes a reference to the year-end holidays. Later in the second week of January 2013 again changed its logo to the old (2010) but with larger number 8.

    The April 29, 2014 the signal transmits short alluding to the history of the canal as part of its anniversary celebrations Number 50°.
