Changsha Metro (Chinese: 长沙地铁; pinyin: Chángshā Dìtiě) is a metro system in Changsha, the capital city of Hunan province in China. The first operational line, Line 2, started service on April 29, 2014.

Line 1

Line 1 construction began in 2010 and was open on Jun 28, 2016. Line 1 has a line length of 23.62 kilometres (14.68 mi) with 20 stations, of which 1 is elevated and 19 are underground. The construction budget is 14.2 billion RMB.

Line 2

Line 2 is also known as Huangxing Line, runs from west to east Changsha. It was opened on 29 April 2014 and extended in December 2015. This line is 26.579  km long with 23 stations.

Line 3

Line 3 started construction on January 3, 2014. It will open to public in 2018. It will have a total length of 36.4 kilometers and 25 stations. It will go from Shangtang to Guangsheng.

Line 4

Line 4 started construction on December 31 2014. It will open to public in 2019. It will have a total length of 33.6 kilometers and 24 stations. It will go from Guanziling to Dujiaping.

Line 5

Line 5 started construction in 2015. It will open to traffic in 2020. It will have a total length of 22.5 km and 18 stations. It will go from Shidai Yangguang Avenue to Panlong Road.
