"Chacarron Macarron" (usually shortened to "Chacarron") is a hit song by Panamanian artists Rodney Clark ('El Chombo') and Andy De La Cruz (also known as Andy Val Gourmet).
The song that apparently inspired the El Chombo / Andy Val Gourmet version, also called Chacarron Macarron, appeared as the first track of Yahari's album Las + Bailables de .... Yahari in 2005.
The El Chombo / Andy Val Gourmet track also appears on the 2006 compilation Now That's What I Call Music! 65. The song reached the top 20 on the UK Singles Chart in December 2006.
Internet popularity
The song first came into media view when a YTMND page by the name of "Ualeualeualeualeualeuale" which was a gif of Batman played by Adam West dancing to it. It also became popular on a short video clip in 2007 of a two legged horse running to the infamous chorus.
The song also gained popularity on the Internet because of its nonsensical lyrics, which are comprised almost entirely of gibberish consisting of various onomatopoeic sounds, such as the "uale" noise, earning him the nickname of "El Mudo" ("The Mute" in Spanish), and because of its music video, and the song has subsequently been used in numerous viral videos online.
