Centre of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences (CBCS) is a premier brain science center, which was established in year 2002 with the support of University Grants Commission (India) as a Centre of Excellence. CBCS is an independent centre of University of Allahabad.

    The center offers post-graduate degree(M.Sc) and doctoral(D.Phil) training in Cognitive Sciences. These programs aim to develop a solid foundation in the basic areas of brain science in an inter-disciplinary manner and to expose the students to research techniques in different areas.

    Facilities

    The Centre has multiple labs: Cognitive Neuroscience Lab, Neuroinformatics and Intelligent Computing Lab, Visual Cognition Lab, Language and cognition lab, Bio-feedback lab, Virtual Reality lab, Actions lab, and Neuropsychology Lab. The Center is equipped with TMS, EEG and Eyetracker.
