Centergazservice-opt LLC (CGSO) (Russian: Центргазсервис-опт) is the core of Centergazholding Group, one of the world's largest carbon project developers. CGSO accounts for over half of Russian carbon projects by volume and over 30% by quantity. The company holds a portfolio of about 75 mln tons CO2 equivalent.

History

CGSO was formed in 1995 to coordinate conversion of transport from petrol to LPG. In 2004 the company started R&D works on carbon reduction projects. The first pilot project in Kursk region was completed in 2005. This laid the way for expansion of operations to 32 regions across Russia.

Operations

CGSO acts as a project operator and developer of emission reduction projects in gas distribution industry. Fuel-switch projects are operated through a subsidiary United Regional Energy Company LLC (UREC or OREC).

CGSO owns and operates (through affiliates) 3 district heating facilities, 1 district power plant, 5 LPG stations in Russia:
