Cell tower technicians, also known as wireless service technicians, cell site technicians, cell site engineers, aerial technician, field technicians, or simply tower riggers are people that specialize in maintenance, installation, and decommissioning of cellular tower components such as coaxial cable, antennas, radios, fiber optic cable and broadcast equipment for cell phones, television, radio etc. They do their work primarily on telecommunication towers. They also work with electronic equipment.

Employment

Transmission tower workers often work at heights of up to 1,500 feet, performing maintenance and repair work for cellular phone and other wireless communications companies.
