Celebrities Uncensored is a TV program on the E! network that edited together amusing paparazzi footage of celebrities, usually in public places such as public sidewalks, restaurants, nightclubs, etc. The celebrities were often friendly, but sometimes their more unfriendly antics were featured in an amusing and entertaining way. It was very popular with stars on the rise and created a stir in the Hollywood community. Paris Hilton was first brought to the public's attention by this show.

Production crew

E. L. Woody was the executive producer and creator of Celebrities Uncensored. The tapes provided by Woody's paparazzi company comprised the bulk of clips used in Season 1.

Season 2 saw that Woody was replaced by paparazzi video duo Gary & Rachelle Kaplan. Many weeks later, episodes topped a million viewers.

Cancellation

E! canceled this show the end of Season 2 (in June 2004) after movie stars, unhappy with the show refused to appear on E!'s red carpet shows. This came around the time that Mindy Herman was forced from the network and the new executive put in her place decided to take the network's programming in a direction that was gentler to celebrities and less exploitative about their private lives.

Celebrities Uncensored was syndicated globally for the next three years and enjoyed worldwide success.
