Cavanillesia umbellata is a tropical tree that grows in Bolivia and Peru. Its common names are lupuna colorado and puka lupuna (puca lupuna). In the Quechua languages puka is an adjective that means red.
C. Umbellata is a species in the mallow family. It has a convex bole that natives compare with a swollen belly.
