A change in life conditions in the early 1990s cast Graff into a depression. It was in this difficult time of his life that he started writing critical essays about computers and technology. In 1996 Graff published his bestselling anti-computer book Conversations with an Oak Tree in Scandinavia for which he received a Danish Authors' Society award. Conversations with an Oak Tree was updated, rewritten and published internationally in a second edition in 2013.

Later career

Since the 1990s, Graff has published a total of sixteen books. They include Strength and Health, Inside Pandora, Dream Catcher, The Art of Letting Go, Conversations With an Oak Tree, and Infoenza. His writing has primarily been centered on taboos in coaching, therapy, self-development and business development. Additionally, he ghostwritten books for several international business entrepreneurs and has written a number of controversial autobiographical books about his polyamorous love life.
