Biography

Caroline McNairn was born in Selkirk in 1955. Her father and grandfather were also skilled painters. She studied art at Edinburgh University and then Edinburgh College of Art.

McNairn was part of a movement focused around the 369 Gallery in Edinburgh, alongside Fionna Carlisle, June Redfern, Ian Hughes, Robert MacLaurin and Gwen Hardie.
