The Carolina Aviators were a professional indoor football team set to begin play in the Ultimate Indoor Football League for its 2012 season. The Aviators are based in Raleigh, North Carolina, were to play their home games at the Dorton Arena. The Aviators would have been the fifth team to play in the newly formed Southern Conference of the UIFL, but the team failed expansion and never played a game.

The Aviators would have been the third indoor football team to play in Raleigh, after the Carolina Cobras of the Arena Football League (2000–2002) and the Raleigh Rebels of the Atlantic (later American) Indoor Football League (2005–2006). In 2016, indoor football will return to Raleigh as the Triangle Torch of American Indoor Football kicks off at Dorton Arena.

2012

On September 7, 2011, the team announced that they would be named the Aviators, and would be coached by former Huntington Hammer head coach, Josh Resignalo.
