She won Norfolk Island's first and only medal at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, when she won a bronze medal. She also won the Women's Singles gold medal at the World Outdoor Championships in 1996.
She holds Australian citizenship and received the Medal of the Order of Australia in 1999.
