Carlos Rance Redman (born August 28, 1982) is an American jazz musician from Detroit, Michigan who graduated from Alabama State University's Tullibody School of Music in 2004. He currently leads a modern jazz ensemble.

Music
Redman released his self-produced debut album, Love Letters, on December 19, 2007, on Brown Eyes Records. This album was nominated for the Detroit Music Awards as "Outstanding Jazz Recording" of 2009.
His second album, Remix (released August 28, 2008), was inspired by the revitalization of Detroit's inner city.
He has cited Dizzy Gillespie, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Donald Byrd and Miles Davis as his influences.
Teaching
He is also a well liked teacher at Stranahan Highschool where he teaches students the way of music on a daily basis, helping to develop future musicians

In 2005, Redman self-published a book entitled Young Hearts Run Free on Lulu under the name "C. Rance Redman."
