History

During the 1980s the school consisted of two parts, that of the current location at Cansfield Grove, and a second location situated opposite Whitledge Green where a housing estate now stands. The buildings were made of wood, and had been constructed before World War II, as temporary structures. This remained in use up to and during the early 1990s. The school's students were geographically split up along the lines of year. The 1st to 3rd years were situated in the north campus (Whitledge Green end), whilst the 4th and final year students were situated in the current main building on Cansfield Grove and in additional portable cabins. These too have since been demolished or removed.
