History

The company was founded in 1984 under the name Karamellgrossisten i Sverige AB. In 1985, United Kingdom company Just Sweets Ltd was taken over.

United Kingdom operations

Based in Fareham, Hampshire, the United Kingdom business sells around 8,000 tonnes of pick and mix sweets every year through retailers such as cinemas, motorway services, supermarket and general stores.

The company supplies in-store fixtures and merchandising, as well as wholesaling the 100 or so sweet products that it stocks. The United Kingdom operation employs roughly 300 full and part-time staff.

The company's largest retail outlet, Woolworths Group, went into administration in November 2008, and all shops later closed. Since then, their biggest outlet is now Tesco. United Kingdom cinema chain Cineworld is also a major outlet of the company, stocking its pick and mix booths at all of its sites. Other prominent outlets of the company include Wilko, Poundstretcher, and most recently, WHSmith.
