Candle Cafe is a vegan restaurant located at 1307 Third Avenue (between East 74th and East 75th Streets) on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, in New York City.

Contents

The restaurant has an eclectic all-vegan menu. Its decor is simple, casual, and no-frills, with hardwood floors and with dark tiles at the juice bar.

It was opened in 1994 as a juice bar and health food cafe, and is owned by Joy Pierson and Bart Potenza. The Potenzas used $53,000 they won in the New York State Take Five lottery in 1993 to start the restaurant.

Celebrities such as Woody Harrelson have been known to frequent the restaurant.

A second location is on the Upper West Side.
