The Canadian Technology Awards is the inaugural awards ceremony honouring MADE-IN-CANADA branded technologies and technology leaders. Co-produced by GOOGLE, Facebook, Extreme Startups, Fasken Martineau DuMoulin, reBOOT Canada and Infinite Logic the event is a dinner party with eight stimulating speakers exploring issues surrounding Canadian innovation, a showcase of ten emerging technologies on demo in the courtyard reception as well as an awards presentation honouring 3 categories:
Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award: as presented by John H Tory (running for Mayor of Toronto)
Honorary Science & Community Award: presented by Olivia Chow (running for Mayor of Toronto)
Can Tech Leader 2014: chosen by a panel of 60 distinguished judges and presented by Rob Ford, Mayor of Toronto
