Calvary Christian Academy (CCA) is a non-profit private school located in Cresaptown, Maryland in Allegany County. It was established as an outreach of Calvary Baptist Church of Cresaptown in 1973.

Purpose

Calvary Christian Academy is a school that has classes for grades PreK3 through 12th Grade. A full-time daycare is also operated all year. The School is accredited with the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Association of Christian Schools International. The daycare is licensed through the State of Maryland Department of Child Care.

Athletics

The high school fields teams in seven sports throughout the year. For fall there is boys’ soccer, girls’ volleyball, and a cross country team. In winter there is boys’ and girls’ basketball and bowling as well as a cheerleading team. In spring there is boys’ baseball and girls’ soccer as well as a track and field team.

CCA is a member of the Mason Dixon Christian Conference for baseball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball; the bowling team completes in the Allegany County Interscholastic Bowling League. The CCA volleyball team won the MDCC championship in 2013 and Maryland Christian School Champion for 2013. The CCA volleyball program has placed in the top 3 of the MDCC since 2011.

The middle school (grades 6–8) fields teams in the local JCP soccer league in the fall and the Tri-County League for basketball in the winter. The elementary school fields soccer teams in two JCP JV leagues for grades K–2 and grades 3–5.
