Myraida Desireé Carmona (born August 27, 1984), better known by her stage name Calma Carmona, is a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter. Her music has been denominated as Soul & Latin Soul . Calma has a display of influences ranging from Sade Adu, Santana, PJ Harvey, La Lupe and Tina Turner. She sings both in Spanish and English with the same easiness. She is recognizable for her seductive and compelling voice, as well as her undeniable powerful stage presence. She has often been compared to singers Jill Scott and Erykah Badu. She released her debut EP, "There's No Other Girl", in September 2013 on mun2.
