In 2007, the company offered a white-label email marketing product exclusively to resellers, such as marketing agencies and telecommunication providers.
In 2008, the grassroots movement "An Obama Minute" led by Scott Cohen selected Cakemail as their email marketing application, calling on the team to create a semi-custom solution.
In 2010, it ranked 24th in Canada's 2010 PROFIT 50.
In 2012, Cakemail started offering its services to and web hosting services through integration with cPanel and Parallels Automation.
