History

Upon relocating to the southeast from Los Angeles, California in early 2008, James decided to take up music as a vocation. In the midst of recording what was to be his first solo EP, he met Annabelle LaFoy. After two months of corresponding the two met and played. Their first show together was on March 3, 2009 and was broadcast live on WDVX in Knoxville, TN.

Their EP The Lake Takes was self-recorded in LaFoy's parents' lake cabin in Tellico, Tennessee in January 2009.
