History

The club was founded in the summer of 1949 and they soon made a great performance and played in the Romanian First League, finishing 13th (Last) in 1955. Since then, they played only in the second and third league.

In 2008 the team finished second in the series and participated at the Playoffs for the promotion to the Liga II. There they made a good impression but failed to qualify.
