Works were supposed to begin in 2008, with a planned opening in 2012. A later published revised timeline expected an opening in 2016, depending on the RER B Nord+ project. In 2014, the French Junior Minister for Transport announced a planned opening for 2023. The line, under the current project, is to be 32 km long.
