CASC UAVs are Chinese UAVs developed by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), and some of which has already entered service with Chinese para-military and law enforcement forces.

80 kg class rotary wing UAV

80 kg class rotary wing UAV (80公斤级无人旋翼机) is an unmanned helicopter in conventional layout with a pair of skids as landing gear, and it is powered by twin turboshaft engines. This unmanned helicopter is specifically developed as a platform for airborne mobile surveillance system, and it is designed by the 508th Research Institute of the 5th Academy of CASC. 80 kg class rotary wing UAV is the first Chinese unmanned helicopter to incorporate a parachute recovery system so that when the UAV malfunctioned, it would not be lost in crash because the parachute would automatically deployed for safe landing.

Hexacopter

CASC hexacopter is a multirotor developed by Xi'an Kang-Ben Material Co., Ltd. (西安康本材料有限公司) of CASC, also known as the 43rd Institute of CASC, and the landing gear consists of a pair of skids. In addition to the usual reconnaissance missions, it is also capable of dropping teargas round and other armaments, and has since entered service with Chinese border guards.

Peace Map UAV

Peace Map UAV is a Chinese UAV developed by Peace Map Data Technology Co., Ltd. (Peace Map, 北京天下图数据技术有限公司), a wholly owned subsidiary of China Survey (中国四维测绘集团有限公司), which in turn, is a wholly owned subsidiary of CASC. Peace Map UAV is mainly intended for aerial survey missions. Peace Map UAV utilizes commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) subsystems such as airframe, and it is a fixed wing UAV in conventional layout with high wing configuration and tricycle landing gear. Propulsion is provided by a two-blade propeller driven tractor engine mounted in the nose. A unique feature of Peace Map UAV is that it has triple tails.

SL-200

SL-200 UAV is a Chinese UAV developed by CASC. SL-200 made its public debut at the 8th Zhuhai Airshow held in 2010. Externally, SL-200 appears to be a propeller-driven smaller cousin of jet-powered CAIG Sky Wing III and SAC HFT-200A Thunderbird. The three UAVs share similar layout in that all have V-tail and all have engines installed at the empennage. Unlike its bigger cousin GAIG Sky Wing III, SL-200 does not have bulge in its nose, because it does not have satillte dish antenna for long range communication. Propuslion is provided by a two-blade propeller driven by a pusher engine. SL-200 is originally designed for agricultural use such as generating artificial precipitation, and crop dusting, but there are certainly military potentials if needed. Specifications:

  • Twin engine UAV

    CASC twin engine UAV is a Chinese UAV developed by Beijing Lang-Tian Bo-Tai Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (北京朗天博泰科技有限公司), wholly owned subsidiary of Peace Map Data Technology Co., Ltd. (Peace Map, 北京天下图数据技术有限公司), the wholly owned subsidiary of China Survey (中国四维测绘集团有限公司), which in turn, is a wholly owned subsidiary of CASC. This twin engine UAV is in blended wing body design with twin tail, winglets and tricycle landing gear. Propulsion is provided by a pair of two-blade propeller driven tractor engine mounted at the leading edge of the nose. The twin engine is specially designed for LT Digitized City (LT 数字城市) program.
