Clean energy unmanned helicopter is a derivative of U8E and it is a Chinese UAV developed to explore the application of clean energy for unmanned helicopters, and thus the most commonly referred name is Clean Energy Helicopter (Qing-Jie Neng-Yuan Zhi-Sheng-Ji, 清洁能源直升机). Like U8E it is developed from, it is also in conventional layout with a pair of skids as landing gear.The unmanned helicopter is powered by high power lithium-ion batteries with a direct current servomotor as a drive. Because it is electrically powered, it is also frequently referred to as Clean Energy Electrically Powered Helicopter (Qing-Jie Neng-Yuan Dian Qu-Dong Zhi-Sheng-Ji, 清洁能源电驱动直升机) Other features of the unmanned helicopter includes a low-noise rotor, and the maiden flight is scheduled to take place in 2014.
