La Charles Rashawn "C. J." Massingale (born September 23, 1982) is an American-Australian professional basketball player who currently plays for the Northside Wizards of the Queensland Basketball League (QBL). He previously spent nine seasons with the Knox Raiders and had a short stint with the Adelaide 36ers in 2012.

College
A native of Tacoma, Washington, Massingale attended the University of Washington in Seattle from 2000 until 2003, after which he transferred to the Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2003 and was a member of the Roadrunners NCAA Division II National Championship winning team in 2004.
SEABL
After graduating from college in 2004, Massingale moved to Australia in 2005 and joined the Knox Raiders of the South East Australian Basketball League. He became an instant hit in the SEABL and was selected to the All-Star Game in just his second season, the first of six times he would be selected to play in the league's all-star game (the others being every season from 2008 to 2012). During his time with the Raiders, Massingale enhanced his reputation as he was the SEABL's MVP in 2008, 2010 and 2012, was the league's leading scorer in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 and was selected to the SEABL 2000's Team of the Decade. In 2011, Massingale was the only active player to be selected to the SEABL's 30th Anniversary Team.
In winning the 2012 SEABL MVP award, Massingale averaged 25 points per game at 45.3%, 5.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game and also won three player of the week awards throughout the season.
NBL
On September 9, 2012, Massingale signed with the Adelaide 36ers as their second import for the 2012–13 NBL season for what many felt was a long overdue call up to the NBL.
Less than a month after signing with the 36ers, Massingale impressed in the 2012 NBL pre-season tournament where he averaged 13.3 points per game at 48% in 22 minutes per game. He got off to a slow start in the 36ers opening game of the season against the Melbourne Tigers at the Adelaide Arena where he only recorded one rebound and one assist, and didn't take a shot in 12 minutes of action. His performances didn't improve until the 36ers faced the Sydney Kings at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on November 9. In just six minutes of court time, Massingale scored 9 points (6-of-7 free throws and one three-point shot) in helping the 36ers to an 88-81 win. Following his performance against the Kings he was given 17 minutes of court time in the 36ers next game, a 66-96 loss to the Tigers in Melbourne, picking up 5 points and 4 rebounds. Massingale's best NBL game came in Adelaide's home win over rivals the Perth Wildcats. He led the team in scoring with 18 points in 18 minutes of game time, all of his points coming in the final period of the game as he led the 36ers to a 77-65 over their long-time rivals.
Following the 36ers Round 9 losses away to the Townsville Crocodiles (who had been 0-10 before the game), and at home to the Kings, Massingale was released on December 5 on the recommendation of head coach Marty Clarke. In just 10 games for the 36ers, Massingale averaged 4.1 points per game.
Return to SEABL
Massingale returned to the Knox Raiders for the 2013 SEABL season and averaged 22.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 24 games. Then in January 2014, after nine seasons with Knox, Massingale signed with the Brisbane Spartans for the 2014 season. However, his season was considered lacklustre as he finished with career-low averages of 14.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 15 games.
QBL
In 2015, Massingale moved north and signed with the Northside Wizards where he was named co-captain alongside Luke Stewart for his debut season in the Queensland Basketball League. He recorded 28 points and 7 rebounds in his debut game on May 2 against the Townsville Heat.
Personal
Massingale and his wife, Leilani, have a daughter named Cydney. In 2014, he became an Australian citizen.
