Robert "Buzz" Patterson (born October 5, 1955) is an American political author, speaker, and retired United States Air Force pilot.

Patterson was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Virginia Tech and a master's degree in business administration from Webster University.
Patterson served 20 years as a pilot on active duty in the United States Air Force. He saw tours of duty in 69 countries to include combat operations in Grenada, Rwanda, the Persian Gulf, and Bosnia. From 1996 to 1998, Colonel Patterson was the Senior Military Aide to President Bill Clinton. During that time he was responsible for the President's Emergency Satchel. In addition, he was the operational commander for all military units assigned to the White House, to include Air Force One, Marine One, and Camp David.
He retired in 2001 to pursue a career as a writer, conservative political commentator and commercial airline pilot.
He is a frequently requested public speaker, TV and radio guest, a blogger.
He is married to Nichole LaGrow Patterson and they have three children.
