Bushman Repellent is a brand of personal insect repellent founded in 1990 in Cairns, Queensland. It is applied directly to the skin and uses DEET (N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide) as its active ingredient to repel insects, particularly Sandflies, Mosquitoes, Ticks, Leeches and Marchflies. Bushman is made in Australia.

Range

The Bushman Range is available with different delivery systems and varying levels of DEET concentration.

  • The Bushman ‘Ultra’ range contains 40% DEET for the aerosol products (60g/130g/225g) and 80% DEET for the 75g Gel.
  • The Busman ‘Plus’ range contains 20% DEET for the aerosol products (50g/150g/350g), 80% DEET for the 75g Gel and also includes sunscreen.
  • Uses

    Bushman Repellents are used as prevention from many insect-borne diseases including; Ross River virus, Dengue fever, West Nile virus, Malaria, Yellow fever, Japanese B encephalitis, Filariasis, Lyme disease, Leishmaniasis and Typhus fever.
