Bum Boosa (or Bum Boosa Bamboo Products) is a brand located in Mashpee, Massachusetts that sells a line of products made with bamboo and botanical ingredients including baby wipes, toilet paper, and diaper rash cream derived from bamboo. Founded in 2009, the company is a registered B corp.

Manufacturing

Bum Boosa Bathroom Tissue is made with 100% bamboo, sourced from a FSC-certified supplier in China. The bamboo for the bathroom tissue is processed in a mechanical pulping process, any waste water generated in the pulping process is 100% recycled and is in compliance with environmental laws in China. Bum Boosa Bamboo Bathroom Tissue has passed tests in the U.S.A. to determine the absence of 1,4 dioxane, formaldehyde, bispenol- A, and detection of elemental chlorine.

Bum Boosa’s Bamboo Baby Wipes are made in China as of 2014 and were formerly made in the United States. They are the second baby wipes brand to be USDA certified as biobased. Bum Boosa Bamboo Baby Wipes are manufactured using the rayon or viscose method for turning cellulose from bamboo into usable fiber. During the chemical processing, hermetic containers trap and contain the chemicals which are recycled – not released into the factory, environment or atmosphere. In addition, Bum Boosa Baby Wipes have passed tests in the U.S.A. to determine the absence of 1,4 dioxane, formaldehyde, bispenol- A, and detection of elemental chlorine.
