Buddleja × intermedia is a hybrid discovered in a batch of seedlings in France, and assumed to be a cross of Buddleja japonica with Buddleja lindleyana.

Description

Buddleja × intermedia has pale green leaves 15 cm long, and drooping panicles, 25 cm long, of violet flowers.

Cultivation

The hybrid is not known in the UK, but is cultivated in the USA. The plant spreads by root suckers.
