Works

  • He has done research, study, publications, presentations and discussions on the boundary of Nepal, border management and border related issues of Nepal and find out the means of its solution.
  • He has contributed to protect the national boundary and obstruct encroachment from the neighboring countries.
  • He has created awareness for national integrity, security and solidarity through the medium of border research and study.
  • He is an activist to save Nepal's national boundary and to create pressure to maintain peace and security through proper management of border.

  • He has written seven books including Border Management of Nepal, Boundary of Nepal (in vernacular) and this book has won the prestigious prize of Nepal, named Madan Puraskar with one hundred thousand cash prize.
  • He has also written 13 other books in co-authorship, including International Boundary Making, published from Denmark and Tools to Support Transparency in Land Administration published by UN-HABITAT, Nairobi.
  • He has written more than 400 articles, mostly in Nepali language, which have been published in the daily, weekly newspapers, journal and periodicals on the border issues of Nepal and its solutions, including from Hokkaido- Japan and Houston- USA. The latest one is 'Authenticity of Lipulek Border Pass' in Nepali Daily.

  • Television and Radio at home and abroad, including BBC Nepali Service, Nepali Television, London have aired more the 280 interviews on Border Issues of Nepal, including Susta, Kalapani-Limpiyadhura Issues and Border Management of Nepal.

    He has attended more than 35 conferences and seminars and presented some papers, for example 'Negotiating International Boundaries and Conflict Resolutions' organized by Survey Department, Kathmandu.

    Presentations

  • He has made more than 20 presentations abroad including Cross-Border Mobility Between Nepal and India (BRIT-XIV International Boundary Conference) Arras-Lille in France and Mons in Belgium, 4–7 November 2014. At home, he has presented more than 100 papers in various organizations and institutions. The last presentation is at the International Relations and Labour Parliamentary Committee of Constitutional Assembly (Parliament), in presence of Minister for Foreign Affairs, on 9 June 2015 in the topic 'Location of Lipulek Border Pass' through which India and China made an agreement on 15 May 2015 to expand trading affairs through this border pass.

  • He has obtained more than three dozens prizes, awards, letter of felicitations, appreciations and commendations including Madan Puraskar, Itihas Shiromani Baburam Aacharya Research Honour, Eduard Dolezal Award : 18th ISPRS Congress, Vienna-Austria, 11 July 1996 in recognition of developing Surveying, Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry and Geographical Information System in Nepal.

  • He has received eight medals/decorations, for example Suprawal Janasewa Shree-III, 2012 through the President (Head of the State) of Nepal, Gorkha Dakshinbahu- Class Three, 1992 by His Majesty the King etc.
