Alphonso "Buck" Johnson Jr. (born January 3, 1964) is a retired American professional basketball player. Johnson, a 6'7" Small forward, was selected by the Houston Rockets in the 1st round (20th overall) of the 1986 NBA draft.

Johnson played high school basketball at, and graduated from, Hayes High School in Birmingham, Alabama.

College career

Johnson played college basketball at the University of Alabama, with the Alabama Crimson Tide, from 1982–1986.

Professional career

Johnson was drafted by the Houston Rockets in the 1st round (20th overall) of the 1986 NBA draft. Johnson played in 7 NBA seasons, from 1986 to 1993. He played for the Rockets from 1986 to 1992, and for the Washington Bullets during the 1992–93 season.
