Bruce Day (born May 4, 1951 – June 30, 1999) was an American bassist and vocalist for the California smooth rock band Pablo Cruise. He previously played in a San Francisco high school band with Carlos Santana, but contrary to a common misconception, he never was a member of the band Santana. Day replaced Bud Cockrell as bassist and singer for Pablo Cruise in 1977 and sang and played bass on two albums for A&M Records - Worlds Away and Part of the Game. He stayed with the band until 1981 before the Reflector album was recorded and died of unknown causes on 30 June 1999 at the age of 48.
