Brittany Chikyra Barber (born 3 April 1987), known professionally as Brittany B., is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. She released two mixtapes throughout 2016: AfterHours, and HelloSummer, which were critically acclaimed. It was released under Empire Records and her own label Aria Music Group.

Career
Brittany B. began her music career at the age of 16. She has collaborated with numerous artists, including Lyrica Anderson, Chrisette Michele, John Legend, and Ledisi. She has writing credits on Theophilus London's album with "Can't Stop" featuring Kanye West, Chrisette Michelle's album lyricist Opus with "Make Us One" and Atlantic Records Artist Jovanie's debut album Whats the Move Part 2 with "Whatcha Think About" and "Who Knows". On February 14, 2016, Brittany B. released her mixtape AfterHours. She signed to Empire Records in March 2016. Brittany released her EP HelloSummer on July 4, 2016 under the Empire label. Brittany's debut album Things Change is scheduled for release in March 2017.
Personal life
Brittany B. was born and raised in Compton, California, United States. She has two younger brothers. She attended Centennial High School and played basketball.
