Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 28.7 square miles (74 km2), of which 28.31 square miles (73.3 km2) (or 98.64%) is land and 0.39 square miles (1.0 km2) (or 1.36%) is water.

U.S. Route 30 and U.S. Route 34 run east to west through the township. Yorkville covers much of the township.

The township is named after the Bristol family.
